“He must go!”: Protesters march on Robert Mugabe’s home as army tell him ‘step down or we’ll let them lynch you’

 In U.S.
Zimbabweans celebrating the expected fall of President Robert Mugabe marched towards his residence in the capital Harare today as the country prepared to oust its leader of the last 37 years.

Hundreds of thousands of people flooded the streets of the capital singing, dancing and hugging soldiers in an outpouring of elation as Mugabe’s rule comes to an end.

The protest comes as a senior Zimbabwean figure has warned Mugabe that if he doesn’t step down, the army will do nothing to stop marchers from lynching the dictator.

Christopher Mutsvangwa, chairman of the national war veterans’ association told Mail Online: “The army gave the dictator a message earlier today. Either he steps down or they will let the people in to his mansion to take him.
